Let's Talk Music

Music is one of the most heavily subscribed creative products. Music unites people across the global therefore, the different intellectual property (IP) rights associated with music is sometimes the most complex IP rights to dissect.

Globally copyright is the main intellectual property right connected to the music we consume. Neighboring/Related rights is also an integral part of the value that comes from creating music. However, not all countries around the world recognize the term neighboring/related rights which is the right attributed to the performer/producer.

Trinidad and Tobago is one of the countries that recognizes neighboring/related rights. At LTIP we understand the financial value of these rights to the creator and consumer. Therefore, we work extremely hard to ensure both parties are treated fairly.
